Qatar Airways lands on the Spice Island of Zanzibar

Qatar Airways’ launches its second new destination of 2015, the Spice Island of Zanzibar, the airline’s third destination in Tanzania. Local dignitaries and media welcomed the inaugural flight, as Zanzibar became Qatar Airways’ 20th destination in Africa. The beautiful island has plenty to offer with pristine beaches and a tropical climate that promises a relaxing vacation. The spice culture and mesmerizing sunsets are just some of the many attractions that this small island in the Indian Ocean has to offer.

Qatar Airways’ newest destination in the African network operates five weekly flights via Kilimanjaro, and will be upgraded to daily flights from October 2015. Travellers will have the opportunity to fly non-stop to Zanzibar three-times-a-week via Doha, and the remaining flights linked via Kilimanjaro.
